Got this to try for winter/ski season. I would say it's a nice base layer/mid layer. It's really warm even though it's thin/fitted. My picky/sensory sensitive kid likes it so that's a win. It looks good on, and I would say it's true to size. And really gender neutral as well.
Amazing quality. Thick, soft, well made.
I'm so glad to be able to shop NUI for quality winter wardrobe pieces that are unrivaled in quality and material. This top is generous in terms of thickness and I do not underestimate its ability to last through time and all the winter adventures. Sizing is a bit small, so be sure to order at least one size up to last the season. I only wish for more colors! Blush pink, perhaps? A highly recommended winter staple.
Bought this for my little in two colors and it is a daily staple. Is perfect on its own for semi warm days and is a great insulation layer under jackets as the temps start to drop. Also the perfect pj top of your baby is sweaty sleeper!
We love the knit leggings and have been sizing up each year for a few years. We always buy 2-3 of the Hopu tops to go with our 2-3 pairs of the knit leggings, and that's the core of my child's winter wardrobe. When it's really chilly, we use the top as a base layer, but when it's a little less chilly, we use it as a sweater over a lighter layer, or just on its own. Both the Hopu tops and the knit leggings have held up really well, and we've been able to pass them on still in really good shape to other kids. (And I second what another reviewer said-- size up and cuff, and they will last you multiple seasons.)
