The Balaclava keeps head, neck and ears covered and is long enough to tuck into the top of a sweater or jacket, sitting just on the shoulders. The merino rib is light and soft with plenty of stretch. I bought this again last year for my three year old and I have to say that they are perfect for a VERY active child in the winter! I love that it covers her head and neck and provides enough warmth without being bulky. We have two others that have been passed down to her brother. These will continue to be a staple in our winter wardrobe, for sure!

Essential winter item

My 5 year old has lived in this balaclava the last two winters. On more mild days he wears it by itself, and on super cold days he wears it under a hat. I love that it gives a little bit of warmth around his neck and keeps his ears extra toasty in the wind. The best part is that he can just pop it off his head and wear it around his neck, so I don't have to worry about him losing it!
