Temperature Regulating
With millions of tiny air pockets, merino wool is the perfect insulator. It creates its own microclimate around the body with unique temperature regulating qualities. It keeps you warm when it's cold, and cool when it's warm.
Infants and children have a higher surface area to mass ratio than adults so thermal regulation for them is even more important. This makes Nui merino great for everyone and perfect for a newborn's fragile temperature mechanism.
100% Natural & Renewable
Nui merino is a natural resource that is biodegradable, sustainable and a renewable resource, growing back year after year. It is by far the better choice for your child and the environment they will grow up in than synthetics.
For our Merino195 collection we use RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) merino. This certification ensures that wool growers meet rigorous animal welfare, land management and social requirements.
Breathable & Moisture Wicking
Merino is breathable and quick drying. It wicks moisture away from the skin and releases it to the atmosphere. This leaves you dryer and more comfortable.
Merino can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before feeling wet, much greater than synthetics. It also stays warm when wet, unlike cotton.
It is also antimicrobial which means odor-causing bacteria don't stand a chance. So you stay dry, warm, odor and sweat free AND it's fire and UV resistant as well.
Easy Care & Quick Drying
Merino is naturally resistant to soiling and often a quick airing will freshen that merino shirt right up. This means less washing, which is great for the environment. Plus, the merino fibers return to their natural shape after every wear, which means wrinkle free.
It can be machine or hand washed and dries super fast. Being 100% natural it also does not shed thousands of plastic microfibers into the ocean like polyester. It is soft on skin and soft on the planet.
