An essential year-round wardrobe basic, the rib knit Hopu Top is made from super soft 100% merino wool.  It offers plenty of stretch, always springing back into shape thanks to the rib knit and wool's natural elasticity. The sleeves are already designed to be a bit longer, but you can size up for growth and roll up.

This is a wonderfully soft knit sweater that your child can potentially get years of wear out of. Wear alone or under another layer.

Only sweater you need!

I purchased the Hopu top (size 18-24 months) in kelp for my 9 month old infant son and he is still wearing it at 27 months! The arms are getting a bit small, so I just order a 2T in deep sea. The fabric is soft and stretchy, thereby allowing for movement, and can be dressed up for special occasions. It is not bulky but thick enough to keep him warm under a coat in the winter or to wear as an outer layer between seasons. It is our go-to sweater and my favorite item from Nui.

Hopu Fun!

I have used the Hopu top for of my toddlers. They have wore through plenty of outdoor play. It has not only kept them warm but has held up perfectly. I also am thankful to use this fiber of clothing for my child who becomes easily skin irritation with synthetic fibers. Nui chooses beautiful quality.

Must have winter layer

We're on the second winter of my 5 year old wearing this nearly every day. He's a really active kid and it never gets stinky, has never had a stain and the wool does not pill. The kelp color really complements his blonde hair and green eyes and looks fabulous with red.

Everyday wear

We received this as a gift and our baby has been wearing everyday this winter. Softest merino and no pilling when washed by hand. Looks like we can get another winter out of it

New styling not as long lasting

I have bought these for my toddler for three years now. I recently received the 3-6 month size for my new baby and unfortunately the sizing is not as generous.
The longevity of the sizing is a big reason I spend the money to buy Nui. The new style is much shorter in the body and we only got one season of wear as a result. I found this very disappointing. Also, the new finish on the cuff unraveled with in a few weeks and needed mending.
My toddler has been wearing her older style Hopu in Kelp for three seasons now, with no holes or unravels. I was hoping to get the next size up since she loves to wear it, but may have to consider something from Disana instead.
