These are a beautiful but they’re really thin, and get holes easily.
Wanted to like this, but from the first wear these were very loose and stretched out. Another color in the same size was fitted, like thermals usually are, but these are saggy and extra long. Worn alone, I have to pull the legs up so they don't drag down to my feet and then deal with extra fabric on the thigh. Worn with jeans, the thermal legs will ride up to mid calf or knee, because of being very loose, so I have to roll up my jeans to pull the thermal legs down. Very inconvenient and disappointing for such an expensive item.
Side note, shipping was very slow and problematic as the label got ripped off on USPS route. Again, for this price point, as well as having to pay shipping, I would expect more reliable service to be used.
These leggings are so incredibly warm and soft, and they're not too bulky so they fit comfortably under everything, even jeans. They're way warmer than any synthetic base layer I've ever worn, which makes sense because merino wool has magical warmth-trapping properties and this is especially high quality merino. Also, don't underestimate this terracotta color - it's GORGEOUS. It's appears very orange in these photos but it's actually more like terracotta (as per the name) or brick. Very low-key, earthy, warm. I'd say the second photo in the deck is closest to the actual color. I hope Nui continues making base layers in this color!
