The average person spends about 26 years of their life sleeping. We also spend about 7 years of our life trying to get to sleep.  Sleep is an essential function, as important as oxygen, food and water.

For kids, good sleep is essential for their physical health, cognitive development, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life.  Equally important, sleeping kids are also great for parents health and mental well being. :)

A recent University of Sydney study showed how wool sleepwear aided in faster and deeper sleep, also keeping participants asleep for longer.

Merino wool pajamas offer exceptional temperature regulation, are moisture-wicking, soft and hypoallergenic.  Summer or winter, merino sleepwear gets you a better night's sleep.

Real natural pajamas for real natural kids.

Why merino for sleep?

We are WILD about WOOL. No other fiber, natural or synthetic, even comes close to matching the multitude of benefits found with wool. As a starting point for kids sleepwear, so many things about it just make perfect sense. It’s that simple and this complex…

Temperature Regulating

Kids cannot regulate their own body temperature as well as adults, which leaves them more vulnerable to changing temperatures in the night.

Merino wool is an excellent temperature regulator and helps keep the body at an optimal temperature regardless of external conditions. It keeps you cool when it's hot and warm when it's not, ensuring kids stay comfortable - and asleep - throughout the night.

100% Natural & Renewable

Nui merino is a natural resource that is biodegradable, sustainable and renewable, growing back year after year. It is by far the better choice for your child and the environment they will grow up in than synthetics.

We make pajamas using either 100% organic merino or a 70% organic merino, 30% silk blend. This organic certification regulates any chemicals used on the land, sheep or factory, and ensures that wool growers meet rigorous animal welfare, land management and social requirements.

Breathable & Moisture Wicking

Merino is breathable and quick drying. It wicks moisture away from the skin and releases it into the atmosphere.

Merino wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp, making it ideal for managing sweat during sleep. This moisture-wicking ability helps keep kids dry and prevents discomfort caused by sweating, ensuring a more restful sleep.

Synthetics like polyester are not breathable. They trap hot air in and a sweaty, clammy child is at risk of overheating.

Cotton pajamas do not dry as fast as merino and get cold when wet, where merino does not.

Easy Care & Quick Drying

Merino is naturally resistant to soiling and often a quick airing will freshen those merino pajamas right up. This means less washing, which is great for the environment. Plus, the merino fibers return to their natural shape after every wear, which means wrinkle free.

They can be machine or hand washed and dry very fast. Being 100% natural they also do not shed thousands of plastic microfibers into the ocean like polyester.  They are as soft on the planet as they are on the skin.

Soft & Gentle

Merino wool fibers are much finer than traditional wool, making them soft and gentle against the skin. For kids, especially those with sensitive skin or allergies, merino wool sleepwear can be a comfortable and non-irritating option.

Merino wool is naturally hypoallergenic, meaning it's unlikely to cause allergic reactions or skin irritation. This quality is especially beneficial for kids who have allergies or eczema, as it reduces the risk of discomfort and allows for a more peaceful night's sleep.

Odor Resistant

Merino wool has natural antimicrobial properties that help prevent the growth of odor-causing bacteria. This means that even after multiple wears, merino wool sleepwear remains fresh-smelling, reducing the need for frequent washing and ensuring a cleaner sleeping environment for kids.
